SGGS, DAV clubs win volleyball titles

Sri Guru Gobind Singh (SGGC) Club and DAV College, Sector 10, Club spikers won the Chandigarh State Senior Championship for men and women category, respectively, at the Sector 7 Sports Complex.

In the women’s final, the Sector 10 team ousted Sector 42 Spyker Club with a 23-25 25-22 25-22 25-20 verdict. Earlier, in the semifinals, DAV defeated the Sector 7 Sports Complex team 25-16 25-10 25-12 and Spyker Club posted a 25-15 25-18 25-22 win over the Sector 7 Sports Complex (A team). The Sector 7 (A team) defeated their B team 25-15 25-22 25-23 to claim the third position. In the men’s final, the SGGS team recorded a 25-23 25-22 25-23 win over the Sports Complex-7 (A team). In semis, the SGGS lads defeated Sector 7 (B team) 25-22 25-23 25-23 and the Sector 7 (A team) defeated GGSSD, Sector 32, 25-18 25-23 25-22. The Sector 32 team won the third place by defeating B team 25-20 25-21 25-22.
