Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, won the Panjab University Inter College Hockey (Men) Championship, concluded on the Panjab University campus grounds.

In the final league match, Sector 26 -based Sri Guru Gobind Singh College hockey team outplayed GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar (Ludhiana) 6-2. LLK Khalsa College, Dhudike, claimed third position in the championship.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
