Manipur’s Shanker Heisnam and Punjab’s Sahira Singh won the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men & Women, respectively, at the Sector 10 Complex.

In the men’s final, Shanker stunned top seed Delhi’s Sarthak Suden. He closed the first set 6-3 in his favour. Sudan later conceded the match, making an easy way for Shanker to bag the title.

In the women’s final, top seed Sahira Singh overcame a tough challenge from second seed Haryana’s Tejsavi Dabas. Both the sets were decided on tie-break, as Sahira logged a stunning 7-5 7-6(2) victory to bag the title.
