Shiksha Mahakumbh begins at NIPER, Mohali, today

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) and Department of Holistic Education (DHE) will organise fifth edition of the Shiksha Mahakumbh 2025 from October 31 to November 2 in Mohali. The theme of Shiksha Mahakumbh 2025 is “Building a healthier world through education”.

The Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan (SMA) is a visionary multi-edition national movement. Each edition of the Mahakumbh is designed not just for discussion, but to generate actionable insights, policy roadmaps and community-driven solutions. Each edition of the abhiyan builds upon the outcomes of the previous editions, weaving a continuous thread of innovation, implementation and impact. The expected impact of the Mahakumbh is strategic roadmap for linking pharmaceutical education, research and development and global health, building Bharatiya role in global medical innovation and knowledge exchange.

The inauguration will be held on Friday at the NIPER Convention Centre at 10.30 am. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, would be the chief guest at the inaugural function, while RP Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, would be the guest of honour on the occasion.

On the following days, Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Governor of Haryana, and Kavinder Gupta, Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh, would attend the event as chief guests.
