Shooter Vanshika bags laurels
Vanshika Shahi, a student of Chandigarh University, Gharuan, bagged laurels by winning a team medal in the World University Shooting Championship 2024. The Indian team won silver in the 50m Rifle 3position event in New Delhi.
The team lost gold by one point to Czech Republic. Germany claimed third position. The Indian team was represented by Sift Kaur Samra, Vanshika Shahi and Manini Kaushik. Earlier, Vanshika had won gold at the Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati with a final score of 451.3.
She also claimed 16th rank during the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl with a score of 1,167 in the 50m Rifle 3Position women’s junior event.
