Shooting events from today

The shooting events of the Khedan Vattan Punjab Diyan will be held at Shooting Range, Phase 6, from November 13 to 17. Players from different districts of the state will participate in these games in the following age groups (boys and girls) U-14, U-17, U-21. The participants will also compete in 21 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60, 61 to 70 and above 70, in both men and women events.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
