Four unidentified youths snatched Rs 9,500 from a Mohali resident near the KFC outlet on November 24.

Gurpinder Singh (34), a resident of Green Enclave who owns a garment shop in Sector 71, was returning home at night when a youth stopped him between the KFC outlet and a filling station at 1 am.

Three more youths joined him and dragged Gurpinder out of the car and took out money from his pocket after threatening him with a knife.

The suspects also thrashed him and pelted his car with stones before fleeing the spot. A case has been registered at the Balongi police station.
