Daisy Walia, a senior AAP leader, and Inderjeet Ahluwalia, a senior activist, along with other AAP workers, joined the Congress here today.

They joined the party in the presence of Rajinder Rana, MLA, Sujanpur, HP, Deepa Asthir Dubey, president, Chandigarh Mahila Congress, and Bhupinder Badheri and Dr OP Verma, both senior leaders, at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35.

Daisy Walia alleged the local leadership of the AAP was totally ignoring its genuine workers. They were only wooing people with rich resources and denying tickets to grassroots level workers. She alleged that the AAP party is doing pure commercial business in the name of politics.

Meanwhile, Sanyum Grover, son of BJP leader Sanjeev Grover, also joined the Congress with his team of youngsters. People attended a nukkad meeting of the Congress at Buterla village falling under Ward No. 30.

Rawat’s election office inaugurated

Alka Lamba, spokesperson for the Congress, inaugurated an election office of Gurbax Rawat, Congress candidate from Ward No. 27, at the Ramlila Ground, Sector 40.
