Unidentified miscreants fired indiscriminately at a businessman’s house in Sector 33 on Sunday evening.

At least 17 bullets were fired at the house. However, no one was injured in the incident.

Sources said the miscreants arrived outside the house of Rakesh Singla and started firing indiscriminately.

The bullets hit the outer wall and also went through the window of a room on the first floor.

Singla was not present in the house when the incident happened.

Police control room was informed about the incident following which teams rushed to the spot.

A forensic team also reached and initiated an investigation. Empty shells were collected from the spot.

UT SSP Nilambari Jagdale also visited the crime scene.

Police are investigating the matter.
