Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today inaugurated the bus stop constructed by Zirakpur Municipal Council at a cost of Rs 12.5 lakh near Singhpura Chowk.

“The bus shelter is equipped with comfortable seating arrangements, proper lighting and roof to protect the passengers from rain and sun,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zirakpur residents apprised the MLA of various problems being faced by them. Ward in-charge Harpreet Singh Pali Sidhu, block president of the party along with Rajinder Singh Raja and city council officers were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the construction of roads from Ward Number 19’s Badal Colony to Sigma City Chowk and in Ward Number 21’s Lohgarh village began at a cost of Rs 38.75 lakh at Rs 50 lakh respectively.

Work began with the laying of interlocking tiles and rainwater drainage pipes.
