Addressing the dharna, the union leaders lashed out at the government, saying that it was unfortunate that after the seventh round of meeting with the Union ministers, the farmers were arrested by the police. They alleged that during the arrest, several elderly farmers were mistreated and their belongings, including gas cylinders and trolleys, were stolen, calling the whole operation deplorable.
