A 19-year-old boy has been arrested in a snatching case.

The accused was identified as Hariom Pandey, a resident of Ambedkar Colony, Dhanas.

In a complaint to the police, Dharam Singh of Togan village in Mohali stated that he was waiting at a bus stop near the CAP Complex in Dhanas on Wednesday when an unknown person snatched his bag containing Rs 20,000, a bank account copy and two cheque books before fleeing.

A case was registered at the Sarangpur police station. During investigation, the police nabbed the accused today. The bag containing Rs 18,000 and documents was recovered from him.

The accused was produced in a court, which remanded him in judicial custody. He has no criminal history, said the police.
