The Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department of Panchkula organised a “Chara Anudaan Vitran Samaroh” at Madhav Gaushala in Sukhdarshanpur today. At the event, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta distributed Rs 23.01 lakh as the second instalment of the fodder grant to seven registered gaushalas. Gupta said that such grants would help make the district free of stray cattle. “This will ensure that cattle do not roam around on the roads and do not cause accidents,” he said.

The financial aid comprised

Rs 9,77,250 to Mata Mansa Devi Gaudham; Rs 4,80,750 to Madhav Gaushala Charitable Trust; Rs 3,00,750 to Shri Krishna Gaushala Charitable Trust; Rs 2,70,000 to Gobind Gaushala Samiti; Rs 1,26,000 to Kamdhenu Gauseva Samiti; Rs 82,500 to Shiv Mandir Nav Durga Charitable Trust; and Rs 64,500 to Chandra Shekhar Azad Charitable Trust.
