Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 6.68 crore today. He inaugurated the work of strengthening the 4.25 km-long road from Mattewal village to Toka, and the work would be completed at a cost of Rs 1.77 crore. He also inaugurated the laying of a 4.25 km-long road from NH-7 to Kami village, which would cost Rs 95 lakh, along with the strengthening of the 4.25 km-long road from Kami village, which would cost Rs 30 lakh.

Gupta said the work of strengthening the road from Mattewal village to Toka would be done by the Public Works Department (PWD), and the road from NH-7 to Kami village would be done by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board. He added laying of the RMC road and storm water drainage from the railway underbridge to the railway overbridge at Phase 1 in the industrial area and from CID Park to the railway overbridge would be completed by the Municipal Corporation and recarpeting of 34 roads which would cost Rs 21.71 crore would be completed within three months.
