The Bar Council of India has constituted a special committee in place of the existing office-bearers of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.

The members of the committee include Vijender Singh Ahlawat, Minderjeet Yadav, Raj Kumar Chauhaan, Rakesh Gupta, Amit Rana, Ranvir Singh Dhaka, Karamjeet Singh, Lekh Raj Sharma, and Chetan Verma.

Senior advocate Jai Vir Yadav has been appointed as the chairman of the apex executive committee whereas Rakesh Gupta is the chairman of enrollment committee and Karanjit Singh and Surinder Dutt Sharma chairmen of the verification committees. Gurtej Singh Grewal is the chairman of the Trustee Committee. Ranvir Singh Dhaka is the chairman of Benevolent Committee for discharging the day-to-day functions of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.

Meanwhile, the General House congratulated Suvir Sidhu, who was nominated to the post of Member, Bar Council of India.
