Jasbir Singh Bunty, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Jaswinder Kaur, leader of opposition of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, have demanded a special house meeting on Manimajra housing project.

The leaders have given a representation to the Commissioner and Secretary, MC, respectively.

Bunty said that councillors wanted to hold a special meeting of the corporation on September 19 to discuss the issue related to the auction of a piece of land of Pocket No. 6 located in Manimajra in public interest as there was a possibility of misuse of public money and assets.
