Chandigarh, June 3
The prospectus for 2025-26 session of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SGGSC), Sector 26, was released by Gurdev Singh Brar, president, Sikh Educational Society (SES); Col (retd) Jasmer Singh Bala, secretary, SES; Karandeep Singh Cheema, joint secretary, SES; along with Principal Dr Jaswinder Singh and faculty members.
The college implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 as per the UGC and Panjab University (PU) guidelines in the previous academic session. The college is offering 24 discipline specific courses that include 16 arts and eight science streams.
More than 45 multidisciplinary courses, 55 skill-based courses and 30 value-added courses will be offered as per the NEP 2020 curriculum framework.
The college offers various internships with leading organisations and numerous community engagement opportunities. The institutional innovation council of the college has set up student self-help groups, start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures. Soft skills development and placement of students of all streams is ensured in sectors like banking, finance, IT, digital marketing, pharmacy, communication and media. A helpdesk has been set up by the college, which will offer counselling to students and answer their admission-related queries, from 10 am to 4 pm.
