Sriram Adarsh Uppala of Telangana and Tejaswini G of Tamil Nadu emerged as champions in the 34th National U-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship, respectively, which concluded at the gymnasium hall of Panjab University today.

In the open category, Uppala scored 9½ points to claim the title. Nandish VS, Abhinav Raj, Mukund Hemant Agarwal, Koustuv Dash, Vignesh Advaith Vemula, Bagwe Gaurang and Swarna Nihal were the others to finish among the top 10. In the girls’ category, Tejaswini G emerged as champion. She defeated Krithika B in the final.
