Chandigarh, December 8

Members of the Sector 47 coordination committee of the CHB Residents’ Welfare Federation held a rally in front of Sri Ram Mandir, Sector 47-D, in support of their demands.

The residents demanded that notices of cancellation of all types and the ongoing demolition drives should be stopped. They demanded one-time settlement for violations.

Councillors Davesh Moudgil, Gurpreet Dhillon, Bharat Kumar and Shipra Bansal and CHB board members Prem Kaushik and Subeena Bansal attended the rally. They were requested to bring to the notice of the UT Administrator the problems being faced by residents.

It was decided that rallies and dharnas volunteered by the councillors will be held every Sunday, till January 30.

Federation leaders Naresh Arora, Subhash Gupta, Madhu, Renu, Sanjeev Bansal, PS Thakur, VK Nirmal and Pardeep Yadav attended the protest rally.
