Strawberry Fields, Vivek High cagers off to winning start

On the opening day of the 3rd J Saupin Memorial Basketball Tournament, the girls’ team of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, recorded an eight-point win over Learning Paths School, Mohali.

Vivek High School, Mohali, defeated Unison International School, Pinjore, by eight points. The hosts Saupin’s School lost to St Peter’s School by three points.

In the boys’ category, Vivek High School, Mohali, defeated St Soldier Divine School, Panchkula, by 16 points. Saupin’s School defeated St Peter’s School by 24 points and Holy Child School, Panchkula, defeated Strawberry Fields High School by 18 points. Learning Paths School defeated St Soldier Divine School by seven points.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
