Strawberry Fields win 2 titles

The Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, won gold medals in the Strawberry Fields Football and Basketball Tournaments 2024.

In the girls’ U-15 basketball category, the host team topped the league table to bag the title. Saupin’s School, Sector 32, claimed the runners-up position, while St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, bagged the third position. Anika Sood from Strawberry Fields was adjudged the best scorer, while Kaumudi Guglani, also from the host team was named most valuable player of the tournament.

The boys’ U-12 football team of the host school won the gold medal by winning all their league matches. Pathways School, Gurugram, bagged the second spot, whereas Vivek High School, Sector 38, Chandigarh, claimed the third position on the points table. Abeer Nagpal, Arhaan Garg and Amitabh Sharma—all from Strawberry Fields, were named best goalkeeper, best scorer and best player, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-15 basketball event, St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School rose to the top, followed by Strawberry Fields High School at second position and St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, at third spot. Rannanjay Singh from Strawberry Fields was awarded with the best scorer award, and Tanay Thakur from St Joseph’s bagged the most valuable player title for contributing 44 points in the team’s win.

In the boys’ U-17 football event, the team of St John’s High School, Sector 26, bagged the title by securing maximum points in the league stage. St Joseph’s lads won the second position and the hosts finished at third spot. Nikbir Majumdar from St Joseph’s was named best goalkeeper, followed by Rishit Gupta from St John’s the best scorer, and Aarav Jindal from Strawberry Fields was adjudged best player.

With an aggregate score of 29 points, the Strawberry Fields High School was crowned the ‘overall winner’. A total of 12 teams had participated in the event.
