Suraj of GGDSD College, Sector 32, claimed the men’s Foil event during the opening day of the Chandigarh Sub Junior and Senior State Fencing Championship. Kamal Joshi of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 10, finished at the second position, followed by Lalit Joshi and Prateek, who shared the third position.

In the women’s Epee event, Purvasha of MCM Dav College, Sector 36, defeated Yashkeerat of Panjab University Campus to win the gold medal, Harleen Shahi of Gunjan claimed the joint third position.

Yashdeep Dhull of DAV Public School, Sector 8, claimed the boy’s sub-junior gold medal, while Jayant of Ankur School, Panjab University, finished second and Manvik of St John’s School, Sector 26, claimed the third position.

In the boys’ Epee event, Dhruv of GMSSS, Sector 10, defeated Rabab Singh of Vivek High School, Sector 38, to claimed the gold medal. Rudraveer Gautam of St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, claimed the third position.

Advika Dutta of Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, won the girls’ sub junior Epee gold medal by defeating Irania of Carmel Covent School, Sector 9. Himadri and Vanshika claimed the joint third position.

In the girls’ Epee event, Faniza of Sacred Heart School won the top spot by overpowering Sara of KB DAV School, Sector 7. Manreet Dhillon of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, shared the third position with Simrapreet Kaur of St Kabir School, Sector 26.

In the Foil event, Hitashi of Carmel Convent defeated Kashvi Khan of DAV Model School, Sector 15, to clinch the first position. Nanki Baskhi of Sacred Heart School and Vidhi of GMSSS, Sector 10, won joint third position.
