Tandon was appointed, along with other officials, during the annual general meeting of the BCCI held in Mumbai today.
The Governing Council consists of BCCI’s newly elected President Mithun Manhas and other functionaries, including Rajeev Shukla (Vice-President), Devajit Saikia (Secretary), Prabhtej Bhatia (Joint Secretary) and Reghuram Bhat (Treasurer).
The WPL committee will function under the chairmanship of Jayesh George, along with other members Mithun Manhas, Rajeev Shukla, Devajit Saikia, Prabhtej Bhatia, A Raghuram Bhat, Madhumati Lele, Sanjay Tandon, RI Palani and Arun Singh Dhumal.
“I am deeply honoured by the ICC Chairman and BCCI for assigning this responsibility. Through the WPL, the BCCI is creating a pathway for our daughters to dream big, play with pride and make India shine on the global stage,” said Tandon.
