Tanvi Patri and Pushkar Sai claimed girls’ and boys’ U-15 titles, respectively, on the concluding day of the Yonex-Sunrise Ashwani Gupta Memorial All India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3.

In the girls’ final, Tanvi of Odisha outclassed Rajasthan’s Anvi Rathore 21-11 21-10, whereas Pushkar won the boys’ gold medal by defeating second seed Wazir Singh 21-15 23-21.

In the boys’ U-15 doubles title clash, S Ghosh and S Rana ended up lifting the gold medal by overpowering a tough challenge by V Bisht and C Nimmagadda 20-22 25-23 21-17. S Ranjane and S Shelar won the girls’ U-15 doubles final by defeating the pair of V Kedalasara Raghavendra and RN 21-11 21-19.

Fourth seed Shaina Manimuthu of Karnataka returned from a game down to defeat Tanvi in the girls’ U-17 final. Shaina lost the first game 9-21, only to log a 21-17 21-4 win in the gold medal match. In the boys’ U-17 event, Bornil Akash Changmai of Assam stunned second seed Jagsher Singh Khangurra 21-17 21-19.

The pair of D Aditi and P Vriddhi from Karnataka won the girls’ U-17 doubles final by defeating Aikya Shetty and Suhina 21-6 21-14, and the team of Pavan S and Punith S claimed the boys’ doubles title by registering a convincing 21-7 21-15 win over C Thippana and H Veeram Reddy.

In the mixed doubles U-17 final, the team of Punith and Deepak Raj Aditi posted a 21-13 21-13 win over Jangjeet Singh Kajla and Jananika R, and the pair of H Sammetla and S Ranjane won the mixed doubles U-15 gold medal by defeating Arjun A and Nayonika A 21-13 21-13.
