The crime branch of the UT police nabbed a 25-year-old drug peddler, a native of Tanzania, with 100 gm of heroin.

DSP (Crime) Rajeev Ambasta said a team of the crime branch was on patrolling duty in Sector 17 today when it stopped a person on suspicion. During checking, 100 gm of heroin was seized from him.

The suspect has been identified as Oscard Fredrique Mtiti, a native of Tanzania. He was residing in New Delhi and had arrived in the city to supply heroin to local drug peddlers. The police said the heroin seized from him was worth Rs 5 lakh. The suspect is a barber and worked at a salon in Delhi. — TNS
