Haryana’s Tavish Pahwa and Shatakshika Sahayak of Uttar Pradesh won their respective boys and girls titles on the concluding day of the CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament.

In the boys U-18 final, 12th seed Pahwa defeated 10th seed Punjab’s Armaan Walia in straight sets 6-1 6-4. Meanwhile, 14th seed Shatakshika stunned eighth seed Haryana’s Prachi Malik to win the title. After a neck-and-neck fight, Shatakshika won the opening set 7-5, but in the second set, she completely dominated the last games to record a 6-3 win for the trophy.

Vice-president, CLTA, SM Sharma, along with Megh Raj, chief operating officer; and Y Romen Singh, director, coaching & development, distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
