There was heavy police presence at the PSEB gate to prevent any untoward incident.

The protesting teachers were miffed with the government decision to postpone the written exam from November 21 to November 28.

The teachers said the Congress government was adopting delaying tactics to give advantage to the freshers.

The teachers claimed that the main gate of the office would be blocked for the next three days.

Union member Davinder Singh Sandhu said, “The government’s claim of regularising jobs of 36,000 teachers is false. The policy which has been drafted will not give jobs to the existing teachers.”
