Team No. 187 emerged victorious in the Gully Cricket Tournament, organised by the UT Cricket Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Police, by recording a 31-run win over Team No 311.

Batting first, Team No. 187 posted a competitive total of 125/5. Skipper Mohammed Shaban scored 70 off 28 balls, including eight sixes and three boundaries. In reply, Team No. 311 faltered against Sahu (3/20) and Muksad Ali (3/23).

The final of the girls’ category was a one-sided affair. Team No. 1 outplayed Team No. 52 by 35 runs. Team No. 1 posted 77 runs without losing a wicket in the stipulated 10 overs. Aditi Gandotra was the top contributor with 33, while skipper Gitanshi posted 15. In reply, Alisha claimed 5/4 to help her side win the trophy.

In a friendly exhibition match, Competent XI outclassed the British Deputy High Commission by eight wickets. Sanjay Tandon, president, UT Cricket Association, congratulated the winners.
