Top seed Neeraj Yashpaul and Anjali Rathi won the men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively, at the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men & Women, which concluded here today.

Neeraj Yashpaul outplayed Parv Nage of Haryana 6-0, 6-3 in the final. In the women’s singles final, top seed Anjali Rathi of Haryana defeated second seed Sahira Singh of Punjab in straight sets 6-0, 7-5.

In doubles event, top seed Priyanshu Choudhary of Rajasthan and his partner Udit Kamboj of Haryana defeated Ricky Chaudhary of Delhi and Sajal Kesarwani of UP in a three-setter marathon match 7-5, 6-7(4), 10-7 to claim the title. In the women’s doubles final, top seed Ayush Singh and Medhavi Singh defeated second seed Diva Bhatia of UP and Samhitha Sai Chamarthi 6-2, 4-6, 10-7.

Dr Reet Mahinder Singh, member, executive committee, Megh Raj, chief operating officer, and Y Romen Singh, director, coaching and development, CLTA, distributed prizes among the winners and the runners-up. — TNS
