Thief caught, 9 stolen mobiles, laptop recovered

On September 13, the police received a complaint. The victim reported that someone had stolen his mobile phone from his bag while he was working at Agrawal Bhawan, Sector 16, on September 5. A case of theft was registered at the Sector 14 police station and investigation launched.
During the course of investigation, the police acted promptly on secret information and arrested Akram, alias Altaf (33), a native of Moradabad district in UP, at present residing as a tenant in Budhanpur, Panchkula.
During the accused’s interrogation, the police recovered a total of nine stolen mobile phones and one laptop from him. Meanwhile, the accused was produced before the court along with the stolen goods today. The Judge sent him to judicial custody.
