Third seed Haryana’s Harsh Marwaha moved into the second round of the boys’ U-14 category during the ongoing Roots-AITA CS(7) National Rankings Tennis Championship. Marwaha ousted Arnav Singh without conceding any single game with a score of 6-0, 6-0. Top seed Taanish Nanda and Pranjal Nain also logged identical 6-0, 6-0 win over Haryana’s Alvin and Punjab’s Vishap Pratap, respectively.

Seventh seed Yugraj Mahi defeated Punjab’s Aarav Saini 6-0, 6-3, while Punjab’s Mayank Gupta defeated Angad Singh 6-0, 6-2. Sixth seed Gurshaan Singh also marched ahead by defeating Kabir Gautam 6-1, 6-0. Fourth seed Chandigarh’s Yatharth Wadhera also logged an easy 6-2, 6-1 win over Nikunj Arora.

In the boys’ U-16 first round, second seed Harman Singh faced some resistance from Udayjot Singh before returning with a 6-2, 7-6(1) win. Yugraj Mahi easily overpowered Harmahir Singh 6-0, 6-1, while top seed Chandigarh’s Gaurish Madaan defeated Gurshaan Singh 6-1, 6-1.

Another Chandigarh contender, Shaurya Bisht easily ousted Punjab’s Ansh Sharma 6-0, 6-4 and Taanish Nanda outplayed Gurahabad Singh 6-0, 6-0. Chandigarh’s Yatharth Wadhera defeated Punjab’s Siddharth Sen 6-2, 6-3 and Harsh moved ahead in the second round by defeating Raghav Singh 6-3, 6-0. Mayank Bishnoi won the last match of the day by defeating Parth Berwal 6-4, 7-5.
