The police arrested three people allegedly involved in a Rs 21 lakh cyber fraud case concerning the share market. The arrested accused have been identified as Neeraj Pai, Gohil Nikul and Piyush Patel, native of Mehsana in Gujarat. They were currently residing in Sector 51.

According to the information, the cyber crime police had received a complaint from Gagandeep Singh suggesting that the accused had committed an investment fraud and dishonestly withdrawn Rs 15 lakh through certain mobile applications.

Whenever the victim tried would try to take out the money that they had invested, the apps would ask them to deposit another sum to withdraw the existing amount.

The police have recovered a car, a cash counting machine, and mobile phones from the possession of the accused.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Deepak Pareek said the suspects had been cheating people for the past three years. Further investigation in the case is underway.
