The police today claimed to have solved three cases of vehicle theft with the arrest of Ashok Kumar, alias Nikhil; Vishal, alias Chil; and Bhagwan Giri.

Rampal Saini had reported that his bike was stolen from the parking lot of the Sector 41 market on January 23. Accused Ashok (19) of Badheri village, Sector 41, was arrested with the stolen bike in Sector 11 on Monday.

Vishal (28) was arrested with a stolen scooty near the Rally Ground, Sector 25, the same day. The scooty owner, Uttam Samanta, a resident of Burail, Sector 45, had lodged a complaint with the police in 2023. The police said the accused used to steal vehicles using a master key. Sandeep of Sector 52 had reported the theft of his motorcycle in 2023.
