The police cracked a house theft case with the arrest of a key accused and two receivers of stolen items. The arrests led to the recovery of gold and silver jewellery, electronic devices including laptops and mobile phones, and other valuables.

The FIR registered dated July 2 at Sarangpur police station, was lodged by Radha, a resident of Dhanas. She reported the theft of multiple valuables from her home, including three mobile phones, various gold and silver ornaments, a Titan watch, cash amounting to Rs 20,000, pen drives, driving licence, and ATM cards.

Acting on secret information, police arrested 20-year-old Rajesh alias Kancha, a resident of Dhanas.

Two mobile phones and a pair of silver anklets were recovered from him at the time of arrest. During interrogation, Rajesh confessed to being a drug addict and admitted to committing thefts to sustain his addiction. He revealed that he would sell stolen items to acquaintances in his locality.

Following his disclosure, two other individuals—26-year-old Rohit and 18-year-old Lallu, both residents of Dhanas—were apprehended for receiving stolen property.

The police records indicate that Rajesh has previous criminal cases under Sections 379 and 411 IPC. Rohit has past cases under the NDPS Act, while Lallu has no prior criminal record. All three accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
