The anti-narcotics cell received a tip-off on July 25 that Paramjeet Singh, alias Pamma; and Yadvinder Singh, both residents of Amritsar, were planning to sell heroin near the green belt area on the Shimla-Zirakpur highway in Sector 12-A here. A team arrested both accused at the spot and recovered 89 grams of heroin from Paramjeet and 52 grams from Yadvinder. Both were produced before the court and remanded in police custody for three days.
