With 85 new cases of Covid-19, the UT tally today reached 13,162. The city also reported one death due to the infection.

A 34-year-old man from Sector 50, who was also suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome, died at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 here.

With 125 single-day recoveries, the number of cured patients in the city has reached 11,787, thus increasing the recovery rate to 89.5 per cent. A total of 1,184 patients are still infected with Covid-19, while 191 have succumbed to the disease.
