Three vehicle thieves land in police net, 18 stolen bikes recovered

A resident of Teur village in Sadar Kharar, Harmanpreet Singh, had informed the police that his bike was stolen from Phase-5 on September 12. Based on his complaint, a theft case was registered at the Phase 1 police station.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ajay Kumar and Waqar, both natives of Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Raipur near Balongi.
During questioning, Ajay revealed information that led to the recovery of eight stolen bikes and the arrest of Nangal native Sandeep Kumar. The police also recovered five stolen bikes from Kumar and another five from Waqar.
Mobile snatchers arrested
In another bust, the police arrested two Badhmajra youths and booked another for snatching incidents after recovering 20 stolen mobile phones and a bike from them.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Sahil Kumar and Vikas Kumar, while third accused, Mohammed Mohnish, a resident of Balongi, is absconding.
On September 21, a fruit seller, Ikrar, a resident of a Mohali village had reported a mobile phone snatching incident. Two bike-borne youths had allegedly snatched his phone.
A case was registered against two youths at Phase-1 police station. The police said Sahil Kumar is already booked in an NDPS Act case and Vikas faces murder charges in another.
Salon theft case cracked
The police have arrested two youths involved for their alleged involvement in a theft in a Kharar salon. The team has recovered salon equipment, an LCD, and around Rs 5 lakh from the accused.
The suspects have been identified as Guronkar Singh and Jatin, who were residing in a rented accommodation in Kharar. On the complaint of salon owner Ritu Sharma, a resident of Sector 125, a case had been registered at Sadar Kharar police station.
Sadar Kharar SHO Shivdeep Singh Brar said, “The suspects were arrested and produced in court, which remanded them to three-day police custody.”
