Tisha, Rayaan win table tennis titles

Tisha claimed the girls’ U-11 title, while Rayaan won the boys’ U-11 event on the concluding day of the three-day Kargil Memorial Table Tennis Tournament, which was organised at the Sector 23 TT Hall.

In the U-13 age group, Bhavisha won the girls’ final and Gavish Lehar lifted the boys’ championship, while Sherell Chabra and Abhinav won the girls’ and boys’ U-15 titles, respectively. Sherell won two more titles in the U-17 and U-19 categories, while Aditya (U-17) and Saikat (U-19) were crowned champions in the boys’ category.

In the senior group, Cherish clinched the women’s title while Vishal bagged the men’s event. The pair of Saikat and Ratul won the doubles event. In the veteran’s group, Jawahar Bhandari (59 ), AK Moudgil (64 ), Harjinder Singh (49 ) and Munish Nepali (39 ) won their respective singles final, while in the doubles event, Bobby Mehta and Alkesh Saini (49 ) and Dr Chakravarthy and Vinod Kumar (59 ) won the titles. The lucky doubles title was won by MA Khan and Vijay Mohan.
