Top seed Delhi’s Rian Sharma marched into the second round of the boys’ U-18 main draw during the ongoing CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 sports complex. Sharma logged a 6-2, 7-5 win over Aniket Choubey of Madhya Pradesh in the first round match.

Maharashtra’s Neev Ravi Kothari defeated local qualifier Charchil Boora 6-0, 6-1, while Haryana’s Lakshya Dhiman defeated Prem Yadav of Uttar Pradesh 6-3, 6-4. Sreenivas Nikhil Kurapati of Karnataka also marched into the next round by logging a 7-6(4), 6-0 win over Haryana’s Dhruv Ghanghas and Punjab’s Sumukh Marya defeated Harman Singh 6-0, 6-2. Neeraj Devendra Ringagaonkar of Maharashtra recorded an easy 6-0, 6-1 win over Delhi’s Yash Rana, and Maharashtra Swaraj Shailendra Dhamdhere defeated Karnataka’s Rishab Ramanan 6-1, 6-2.

Meanwhile, due to rain rest of the first round matches will be played tomorrow.
