Top seed Nidhi defeated Gujarat’s Pankti Marvaniya 15-10 18-16 to clear the Round 4 of the girls’ U-17 category at the Yonex-Sunrise Ashwani Gupta Memorial All-India Sub-Junior (15 &17) Ranking Badminton Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3.

Second seed Dhriti Joshi moved ahead in the event by defeating Haryana’s Ditya Jakhar 15-6 15-6, while third ranked Bala Manvitha Reddy Allam ousted Haryana’s Arshita 15-4 15-6. Maharashtra’s Anushka Epte ousted Lalremruati Tirza of Mizoram 15-8 15-7, Agrima Dobhal defeated Sanvi Patil 15-7 15-10, Keerthi Balaji beat Taanisha Chaurasia 15-9 15-10 and Amrita Rao Chepyala outplayed Jasmitha Penneru 16-14 15-11.

Aashi Das improved after losing the first game 10-15 and defeated Shruti Yetchina 15-13 15-6. Manasvi Chauhan also faced some resistance from Delhi’s Kanishka Tyagi before logging a 15-8 13-15 15-8 victory.

Vijaya Lakshmi Boddu defeated Haryana’s Jivika Sohlot 15-8 15-10, Selvasamruddhi Selvaprabhu posted a 12-15 15-11 15-9 win over Mokshagna Chepena. Bedagni Gogoi defeated Siyona Kolla 15-13 15-11 and Ritika Jhamnani blanked Delhi’s Aaratrika Malik 15-12 15-10.

In the boys’ U-15 Round 3, Liansangzela K of Mizoram stunned top seed Rajasthan’s Shreyansh Choudhary in a see-saw battle. Liansangzela won the opening game 17-15, before going down in the second 8-15. In the final game, Liansangzela maintained a good show and went on to log a 15-5 victory. Ateeq Ahmad defeated Aaditya Singh Pundir 15-8 12-15 15-9, while Sathiyan Raghunandhan Gomathi defeated Assam’s Anukalp Sahu in an easy encounter.

Srichethan Shourya also moved into the next round by defeating Abhilas Divakar 15-12 15-8 and Manav Dobhal managed to log a comeback wing against Guru Datta Reddy (12-15 15-10 15-12). Bihar’s Kavya Kashyap also recorded a hard-earned win over Rudra Pratap Singh 11-15 15-9 15-12.

In the girls’ U-15 doubles event, the pair of Harshana A and Abhishaa Sree Saravanan defeated Bhavika Jaiswal and Sandhya Kataria 15-9 15-6 and Siddhi Jagdale and Sharayu Rewaskar posted a 15-3 15-4 win over Kashvi and Yashvi 15-3 15-4. Manya Agarwal and Taanisha defeated Vidushi and Kavya 15-9 15-13. Saanvi Ralhan and Aradhya Singh also moved into the next round by defeating Gowri Danapalan and Pranambikhaa Kannan 15-7 15-9.

In the mixed doubles event, the pair of Arjun A and Nayonika A ousted Mahmad Shehrik Bahelim and Aarshia Rejoy 15-3 15-7, whereas Shashish Potanaboina and Divya Sri defeated Samarth Agarwal and Keerat Kaur 15-6 15-11. Govindkrishnan Gokulakrishnan and Abhishaa Sree ousted Kartik Juyal and Gia Sharma 15-8 15-5 , while Hayan Mohammed and Sanviya K defeated Samrit Mehla and Pearl Pareek 15-7 15-4.
