In other matches, Kaushik Pal of West Bengal overpowered Uday Lakshman Tiruvanallur 21-8 21-11, Datul Chauhan defeated Ashok Velavalapalli 21-5 21-10, Mohsin Sumra ousted Vikrant Chawat 21-8 21-8 and Ravijot Singh outplayed Naimuddin Khan 21-11 21-14. Amith Kumar also moved into the next round by resisting a tough challenge by Saurabh Chandel 21-10 14-21 21-19. Jaswinder Singh defeated Rahul Sukhwal 21-11 21-3. Apparao S of Andhra Pradesh moved ahead by defeating Hardik Chopda 21-17 21-18 and Anand Budh Sharma ousted Pankaj Malik 21-14 21-16.
In women’s 35 pre–quarterfinals, top seed Swati Sharma blanked Monika Dhillon 21-11 21-13 and Tejasvi Pilankar defeated Sonal Maheshwari 21-8 21-13. Sonal Jagdale also moved ahead by defeating Juvena Agnes Gomes 21-12 21-2 and Haryana’s Manju defeated Monika Khalotiya 21-9 21-14. Neetu Suthar also marched into the quarterfinals by defeating Dhanya Ramesh 21-15 21-6. In the men’s doubles 35 event, the team of Bennet Antony and Manjush Mohan KK moved into pre-quarters by defeating Subramanian S and Yuvaraj 25-23 19-21 21-17. Deepak Malik and Pankaj Malik logged a 21-7 21-10 win over Shibu G and Murasoli M Munusamy, while Anuj Dhand and Gurjot Singh defeated Vikram Singh Chouhan and Shibu Mehta 21-16 21-17. Romit Dodeja and Mohsin Sumra also moved ahead by reordering a comeback 17-21 21-18 21-15 win over Vipul Bindal and Pratik Gujarathi, and the team of Prem Singh Chouhan and Kaushik Pal defeated Amith Kumar and Anirudh Shurpali 21-12 21-10.
In the women’s doubles pre-quarterfinals of the same age group, the pair of Pallavi Aggarwal and Varada Dixit beat Rachana Jayasankar and Sumi Nadarajan 21-7 21-3, while Monika and Anusha S defeated Juvena Agnes Gomes and Gitanjali Saikia 21-12 21-14. Tejasvi Pilankar and Shweta Samir Thakur defeated Pooja Negi and Anuradha Pal 21-17 21-16 and Noopur and Sonal ousted Indu Saraswat and Neetu Suthar 21-7 21-14.
