Top seed Navya Verma will face second seed Aditya Chauhan in the boys’ U-18 final on the concluding day of the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-3) Tennis Tournament on Wednesday.

In the semi-finals played today, Punjab’s Verma defeated local contender and third seed Lakshya Gupta 9-2, while Chauhan struggled hard before defeating fourth seed Haryana’s Upnishad Bhardwaj 9-8(5).

In the girls’ U-18 semis, top seed Riya Kaushik defeated eighth seed Khushleen Kaur 9-1 and second seed Radhika Vasudeva ousted third seed Vanya Arora 9-3.

Earlier in the boys’ quarterfinals, Verma defeated Arnav Bishnoi 9-4, Gupta blanked Suryansh Nagar 9-4, Bhardwaj outplayed Yashashvi Balhara 9-5 and Chauhan registered a 9-4 win over Sankalp Satyan Nair.

In the girls’ U-18 category, Riya logged an easy 9-4 win over Anahat Pannu of Punjab, Khushleen defeated Anusha Verma 9-5, Vanya ousted Milli Pandit 9-1 and Rahika Vasudeva defeated Gursimrat Kaur 9-2. — TNS
