Scores of passengers had a narrow escape after a tourist bus caught fire at the Zirakpur-Bhankharpur flyover in Singhpura Chowk at 4:30 am on Saturday, officials said.
The private luxury bus, coming from Agra to Amritsar, developed a snag and was parked on the roadside as the driver and conductor noticed fumes coming from its rear. Within minutes, the bus caught fire, however all passengers were safely deboarded in time.
