Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes during the restricted hours to avoid inconvenience. The police have appealed for public cooperation, acknowledging that some inconvenience may be caused due to the restrictions but emphasising that these arrangements are necessary for a smooth traffic management during the special programme. The police have urged the residents to keep themselves updated with real-time information through its official social media handles: X (@trafficchd), Instagram (@trafficchd) and Facebook (@ChandigarhTrafficPolice).

The advisory was issued in the interest of public safety and orderly traffic flow in the city, said police officials.
