Traffic violator sent to jail till March 11

Chief Judicial Magistrate Sachin Yadav has told a habitual traffic rule violator to do community service for five days. A total of 80 challans pertaining to his vehicle were pending. He appeared before the court and paid Rs 16,000 as fine.

The court directed the violator to appear before the reader of the SSP (Traffic) on March 10 for community service.

Meanwhile, the court sent another violator, who has been issued 262 challans, to jail till next date of hearing in the case. The advocate appearing on his behalf claimed that the accused sold the vehicle many years ago. The court has fixed the next date for March 11 in the case. However, the court took a lenient view on a violator who is suffering from kidney disease and is on dialysis. The person is facing 33 challans. He paid over Rs 12,500 as challan fee. The court exempted him from doing community service due to his poor health.

All violators were issued challans for red-light jumping, overspeed and stepping on road markings.
