Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria today inaugurated a disaster preparedness and response training programme for civil defence volunteers.

The programme, being organised by the Directorate of Civil Defence, UT Administration, in collaboration with the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, includes practical modules on evacuation drills, first aid, fire safety and crowd management. It will continue over the next few days.
