The ongoing farmers’ protest has led to a surge in train bookings. Most trains to Delhi from Chandigarh have long waiting lists. Trains to Delhi from Chandigarh, especially those scheduled to depart on Wednesday, are fully booked till February 16.

The Kalka Shatabdi for Wednesday (6:53 am) is fully booked and has a waiting list of 41. Similarly, the evening Kalka Shatabdi (6:23 pm) has a waiting list of 44.

The Vande Bharat train has a waiting list of 44, Kerala S Kranti 78, Paschim Express 119 and the Janshatabdi (7:43 am) has a whopping waiting list of 159.
