The Tribune School, Sector 29, and Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, claimed titles on the concluding day of girl’s interschool netball tournament for U-17 and U-14 age groups, at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19.

In the girls’ U-17 final, The Tribune School defeated Sacred Heart School 22-17 to win the title. Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, finished at third position by recording a 7-2 win over Ashiana Public School, Sector 46.

In the girls’ U-14 final, Sacred Heart School took revenge and defeated The Tribune School 13-11. The host team of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, recorded a 3-2 win over Carmel Convent School.

A total of 46 teams participated in the championship.

Strawberry lads log win

In the boys’ U-19 football tournament, Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, recorded a 7-1 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 47, Chandigarh.

In the second match, St Soldier’s School, Sector 28, defeated DAV School, Sector 8, 5-0.
