Tricity basks in pleasant weather: Clear skies, comfortable temperatures expected to persist

After days of variable conditions, residents across Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula woke up to a bright and pleasant Friday with clear skies and comfortable weather. The day remained dry across the Tricity, with maximum temperatures settling slightly below the seasonal average. At Chandigarh Meteorological Centre, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.8°C, about 1.3°C below normal, while the minimum temperature was 18.4°C, nearly 0.9°C below normal. The relative humidity levels ranged between 56 per cent (minimum) and 90 per cent (maximum), indicating moderate moisture in the air.

Mohali recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2°C and a minimum of 19°C, while Panchkula’s temperatures stayed in a similar range. No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the region during the past 24 hours. The day’s weather remained consistent with the dry conditions prevailing over Punjab and Haryana, where temperatures were also a few degrees below normal.

According to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) five-day forecast, the Tricity will continue to experience mainly clear skies through October 15, with maximum temperatures likely to gradually rise from 30°C to 33°C and minimum temperatures hovering between 17°C and 19°C. With the post-monsoon season now underway, the dry and comfortable weather is expected to persist, making for mild days and slightly cool mornings, a typical pattern for October in the region.
