Local tennis player Pawan Kapoor claimed triple crown in the ITF Masters 400 Tennis Championship, at Muzaffarnagar. Kapoor, who is India’s 42 ranked in the masters’ category, defeated Alok Bhatnager in straight sets 6-4 6-2.

In the doubles event, Kapoor paired with Alok to win the title by defeating the pair of Sanjeev Magon and Raj Dutt 6-3 6-1.

Kapoor completed his triple crown by winning the 50 mixed doubles category.

He partnered with Sujata Kannani of Kolkata to defeat Vibha Chowdhary and Alok Bhatnager 7-5 6-2 in semifinals, and in the final, the title winning pair defeated Dalip and Poonam 6-1 6-0.
